Chandigarh Dibrugarh Express Train Accident in Gonda Latest News Today: A shocking incident took place in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday where a Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed claiming 2 lives.
Reportedly, six coaches of 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed between Motiganj-Jhilahi railway station in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh.
Likewise, the Indian Army has been called upon for rescue operations. The train, originating from Chandigarh, was reportedly heading toward Dibrugarh via Bihar.
In the meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh CMO stated, “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath takes cognisance of the train accident in the Gonda district. He directs the officials to reach the spot immediately and expedite the relief work; gives instructions for proper treatment of the injured.”
Last month, Kanchanjunga Express was hit by a goods train in the Phansidewa area in Darjeeling causing over half a dozen lives.
