Arvind Kejriwal Alleges Imminent Arrest of CM Atishi in “Fabricated Case”

Delhi news: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi may face arrest soon in a “fake case,” claimed AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing unnamed individuals of targeting her due to the government’s recent welfare initiatives.

In a post on X, Kejriwal alleged that the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana, both recently announced, had “rattled some people” who now planned to arrest Atishi and conduct raids on senior AAP leaders. He announced a press conference at noon to address the issue.

The AAP’s welfare schemes, announced ahead of the 2024 Delhi Assembly elections, include the Mahila Samman Yojana, which promises a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 for eligible women, and the Sanjeevani Yojana, offering free healthcare to senior citizens in Delhi. Kejriwal also pledged to increase the stipend to Rs 2,100 if re-elected.

The allegations come amid rising political tensions, with the AAP accusing opposition forces of attempting to derail its governance agenda.
