Punjab Weather Update IMD Issues Orange Alert in Punjab and Haryana

Punjab Weather Update Latest News Today: Amidst humidity and hot conditions over several areas in Punjab and Haryana, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert in Punjab and Haryana for July 24.

The IMD stated that light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers occurred at a few places in Haryana and Punjab while heavy to very heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Pathankot, Punjab.

Likewise, heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Haryana as well with most heavy rain in Yamunanagar.

As compared to yesterday, there was a fall of -0.2°c in average maximum temperature on July 23. However, it is near normal in the state. The highest maximum temperature in Punjab was 39.6 °c recorded at Bathinda.

Now, as per the weather forecast of the India Meteorological Department, Punjab and Haryana are expected to witness light to moderate or even heavy rain accompanied by thundershowers.
