Farmers Protest Tractor March on Independence Day, 15 August 2024 Latest News: In a major development, the farmers on Monday announced a nationwide tractor march on Independence Day 2024, August 15, 2024.
Likewise, the farmers have also announced that they would burn copies of new criminal law. While addressing a press conference, farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal on Monday addressed a press conference.
Sarwan Singh Pandher announced the further steps of the outfit and said, “We are going to observe a tractor march nationwide on August 15, 2024, i.e. Independence Day. We will burn the copies of new criminal law.”
“We are going to complete 200 days of Shambhu and Khanauri border protests on 31 August 2024. We would request people to reach these borders on this day. We will gather over lakhs of farmers on borders, that day,” he said.
Furthermore, he said, “We will organise huge rallies in Uttar Pradesh on September 1, 2024. Likewise, two huge Mahapanchayats would be held in Haryana on September 15 and 22, respectively.”
Besides, he condemned Ashish Mishra, an accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, being granted bail by the Supreme Court. He said, “We condemn it and will continue to protest against it.”
