Punjab’s Derabassi Crime News: In a tragic incident, two bike-borne masked miscreants opened fire outside a diagnostic centre before giving an extortion threat, in Dera Bassi on Saturday, officials said.
In Shakti Nagar, the incident took place at around 12:45 pm.
According to the information, one of the two attackers barged into the centre and gave them a slip with the foreign contact number to the female receptionist. They gave their identity as the gang members of Kaushal Chaudhary gang.
The miscreant left the centre and fired two gunshots before fleeing with his accomplice, they said. The receptionist could not understand anything before the gunshots were fired.
After the incident, the visitors were in shock and a panic-like situation erupted.
The incident took place near the police station of Derabassi. SHO Mandeep Singh reached the spot and further investigation was under way.
